Contemporary Jewellery

Hannah Batstone runs a bespoke jewellery business, locally based. Her workshop is located in Old Bank Studios in Penryn, a beautiful space for both exhibiting, creating and selling her pieces.

What inspired me the most about photographing this contemporary jewellery was Hannah's unique style and original finish to each piece.

On her website, she says that her jewellery "explores the accumulated layers within the Cornish landscape."

She is continuously intaking landscapes from her surroundings which has become an important aspect of her life, portrayed within her creativity.

Hannah works with semi precious gems, sterling silver and gold. Her jewellery is on sale online on both her website and Etsy (links below) as well as at the Poly in Falmouth town centre and in the studio.

Hannah will be selling her work at Modern Makers this weekend, an event which will be held at Bedruthan Hotel & Spa both on Saturday and Sunday. ( Please note, tickets must be purchased beforehand as this is a busy event. Free entry.) This can be found on Facebook as an event or on the Bedruthan Hotel website.
