Results or Excuses

Are you someone constantly making excuses? Trying to get out of something because you feel hesitant or simply find it daunting? Something you may not be fully sure of what you are getting yourself into, something which is totally new?
You are not alone.
If there is one thing Life has taught me so far, it is not to let good opportunities go. You know the one's I mean. They make your heart beat that extra bit faster. Make you smile and allow your mind to wander.
Regret is not a nice feeling. Recognise that some opportunities do not always come around.

A conversation not so long ago bought light into my mind. I was told of how someone in their late twenties used to make excuses and leave things on the 'to do list' for 'later on.' Now this person simply does them. Doesn't think twice about it. If there is something that has to get done or wants to do, he just goes for it. I found this Honest and Brave. Thank you for sharing this with me and allowing me to seek some perspective from your words. Thank you for it all. Good Vibes.
Diving in head first, taking the bull by its horns. Since this discussion, I've been mulling things over in my mind and trying to make sense of what I want and why I want.
Truth be told, deep down I (like many others) know the answer(s). It is doing something about these niggles which appears to be testing. That feeling of being stuck, watching the world tick by around you. But, you are still there, in the same spot. With the same speculation and the same ambitions. If you can't get rid of it, it matters.
I have been in and out of some crazy ass adventures. (A foolish amount of times some might say!) Ventures in the past I may not have imagined myself being a part of. Fair to say it has been a bumpy road. But, I'm done. Done settling. Done having wrong types of adventures. Because now I know. I know what I want. And I know what I deserve. We always have a choice. Love yourself first, and remember to take others opinions very lightly. Yours is the one which matters most. The one thing you have that nobody else does is you. Be your voice, be your mind, your story and your vision. So write, and draw, build, play and dance. And live, only as you can.
As a Photographer, I watch. I observe. I listen. I wait. For perfect moments. I capture these unexpectedly. Spontaneously. They are best. The most Natural and in my opinion the most Beautiful. These moments help me keep it real and get me on a real high. Words cannot explain how good it feels to have something so delicate captured on Camera.
I have hundreds of hundreds of Images in my Archive, where I often look back on. From those hundreds, there can be one which captures my eye and can leave me staring at it for ages. Why? Because it is the story I fail to put into words. Eyes like a shutter and mind like a Lens. Record, create, remember.
Introduce, indulge and discover. Use the lens. SLR, Film, Polaroid, Phone. Whatever. Use it.
It is easy to feel the need to Morph ourselves into Society and Social circles. Especially at an age where things are new where we are creating our lives and discovering what we want from them. But, what does this achieve? Think about it. Zero.
Go with your gut. Stay with it, go with it, flow with it. Feel it. Don't change it.

Don't Settle for Less - Wait for the good stuff, it will come. It may even staring you in the face!
Make the move - Yes it's scary. But these often make the best decisions. Just do it. Results. Not excuses!
Work Hard & Play harder - It will pay off. Stay focused. If you can't stop thinking about it, then work hard for it.
Priorities - Keep them straight.
As your life changes, so will your circle. Visualise and create mood boards. Through Visualisation, we can create an environment where things which are possible (but sometimes seem distant) become even more possible. Keep a Logbook. Whatever floats your boat.
Most importantly, listen to your body. This is your Vehicle of Life. What takes you from one place to another. Love it hard. Love it deeply.

Dance to the Rhythm of your own beat.
