Amongst the crowd

A moment can change everything. You capture something, so meaningful and so precious that can be dismissed and not even noticed within the blink of an eye. This is what I love about Photography.

This shot was taken in Paris a few years ago. I was sat on some Grass, amongst hundreds of other people where the sun was shining and the energy was good. Mid Spring time, not too cold, but still jumper weather.

I noticed these two sat next to me and I felt such warmth coming from them. Totally in Love. This was obvious to anyone, not just myself. My project at the time was 'Capturing Romance' something Paris is perfect for. Every corner you turn there is a couple viewing this Enchanting City.

Two, almost three years later and this image still transfixes me. This European couple are not afraid to show their affection and passion toward one another. Yet.. a British couple sat behind on a bench are inches apart with their arms crossed. Interesting isn't it? Actions really do speak louder than words!

The truth is, through observation and perspective, this half hour sat on this patch of Grass brought out a whole other side of me I had not met before. I saw witnessed the Fairytale. Only, it wasn't a fairytale it was reality. Pure, Raw and as Real as it gets.

No phones.. no social media.. just two people totally immersed in one another and enjoying the company.

Amongst a huge, huge crowd, the light shining from within man and this woman was overwhelmingly Beautiful.

I hope this doesn't sound too Soppy (for some of you I am sure it will be) but the words come straight from the Heart and from what I have seen which I wanted to share.

Time is precious, as is everything else. So? Go explore with a Travel buddy/ Partner / by yourself if you want and make some memories .. Stand out from the crowd and do your thing.
